Shokhista Rustamovna BAKIEVA, Aziza Saidullaevna KHIKMATULLAEVA, Muazzam Alievna ABDUKADYROVA

According to literature, fatty liver is observed in 50% of patients with chronic viral hepatitis C. In this group of patients, steatosis is detected 2.5 times more often than in the general population. Hepatitis C virus can induce liver steatosis. The presence of fatty degeneration of the liver provokes accelerated fibrogenesis and a decrease in the effectiveness of antiviral therapy. The basis for the treatment of liver steatosis caused by hepatitis C virus is antiviral and pathogenetic therapy. Key words: chronic viral hepatitis C, fatty liver, liver fibrosis
