Food impaction is irritating outcome of certain prosthetic procedures. This is due to certain periodontal defects which are not taken care of before embarking upon prosthetic phase. Elimination of these factors will give rise to trouble free restorations. The present review aims to throw a light on the causes of food impaction, its prevention and its management.
