ORAL SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA- AN UPDATE

Oral Squamous cell carcinoma is one of the most common malignant tumor of oral cavity. It accounts for 90% of all oral cancers. Tobacco, alcohol, diet and immunosuprression are the main etiological factors in oral cancers. It may affect any anatomical site in the mouth, but most commonly the tongue and the floor of the mouth. Squamous cell carcinoma is managed by surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy singularly or in combination.
