A Survey to assess patients satisfaction on aesthetics, function and comfort in complete denture patient after receiving complete denture prostheses in H.P Government Dental College, Shimla

Aim- Is to assess patient’s satisfaction on asthetics, function and comfort in complete denture patient after receiving complete denture prostheses in H.P. Government Dental College, Shimla. Material and Method-120 Patients who received complete denture prostheses were randomly selected and were recalled after two weeks of receiving the prosthesis. A questionnaire which sought patient’s satisfaction on aesthetics, function and comfort of complete denture was designed and were grouped based on the scale of very satisfied, satisfied and dissatisfied for above mentioned parameters and overall satisfaction for complete dentures. Result-This study observed that 50 % patients were highly satisfied, 37% satisfied,10% were moderate in satisfaction and 3% were dissatisfied. Conclusion-This study was done to evaluate the relationship between patient satisfaction and the newly constructed denture prostheses, as it would indicate the degree of success of the treatment given.
