Waste disposal improperly can result in an increased risk of nosocomial infections in patients and can lead to change in microbial ecology. This article aims to summarise various disposal methods, color coding of disposal bags and emphasis that efficient disposal of biomedical waste as well as amalgam scrap is vital to avoid critical issues related to safety of community health.
